GREAT NEWS from Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards:
Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards is happy to announce that we have acquired the former Suburban Lanes, and plan to reopen the space in the spring of 2016 after a much needed remodel in true Twain’s style. The bowling alley has been a longstanding fixture in Decatur and we look forward to carrying it into the next phase of its history as a funky bowling center that recreational bowlers and league enthusiasts will love.
Plans are to provide an entertaining and engaging atmosphere for all ages that includes a modern bowling experience and other social games for all skill levels and interests. We will offer a vibrant food and beverage program featuring craft beers, a full bar, hand tossed pizza, burgers and plates designed for sharing. As at Twain’s we will be committed to using locally sourced goods whenever it’s possible.
We are excited to be bringing the metro area a new and soon to be favorite place for hanging with friends and family, enjoying the camaraderie, with the great food and beers that you have come to expect from the folks at Twain’s. Come join us in the spring, see the changes, feel the excitement! We look forward to serving you in the spring.
Keep up with our progress on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/thecometpubandlanes/
Through October, Beautiful Decay, an exhibit of photographs on metal, display local photographer/artist/teacher Suzy Plishka’s knack for finding beauty in abandoned settings through her camera’s lens. See her bio and description of her work here. Thanks to Methane Studio for the prior run of their awesome poster prints.

NEXT TOUR: February 6th at 12:30.
Twain’s is proud to be a part of Greener Fields Together, a national organization dedicated to bringing good food from seed to fork in a safe sustainable way. Here is what they have to say about themselves.
“Safe, sustainable produce. That’s what Greener Fields Together was created to deliver. Why? Because a seed-to-fork approach that educates and engages partners at every link in the fresh produce supply chain is the right thing to do. Greener Fields Together quantifies sustainability efforts with every partner, facilitates continuous improvement at every link and, ultimately, creates a future for conscious production and consumption.”

Galactic Criminal Sin wins at ACAT!
On Saturday, our Galactic Criminal Sin IPA took the blue ribbon in the classic cask ale category at ACAT! Going head to head with so many great breweries from around the country and coming out with that ribbon is quite an honor. ACAT is always a special festival, and this year’s (the 10th!) was especially exciting, with the edition of several UK breweries’ casks available to enjoy. Thanks to Owen and co. for making it happen, and congrats to the other winners who took home ribbons.
Big Congratulations to Chase and Brad! Look for a chance to try this winning cask soon at the home-field bar, and don’t delay in getting down here to have some of the wonderful straight-up cold, carbonated variety of Criminal Sin next chance you get!
Twain’s is now displaying local artists’ work on our dining room walls, rotating artists every few months. Would your work jibe with Twain’s funky, eclectic vibe? If you think so, send photos of your pieces to firstname.lastname@example.org, and include Art in the subject line.
